A Brief About Weber Grill Machine
Weber was founded by a cooking enthusiast named George Stephen. George was a worker at Weber Brothers metal works. He worked there to construct buoys.
One day, he decided to take a half-sphere and put a few legs on it. He then proceeded to bunch a few holes onto the bottom so that air would flow through. Also, drilled hole on the lid. Put support for containing the wire grates. Voila, there was it! He had discovered the foundation of the iconic Weber kettle Grill.
He had invited a few of his friends to try out this new invention. Sadly, all of the grates that he had put on the half-sphere had burnt off. Although, he did not let the idea die.
This was just a start. This acted as an initial design for what would, later on, become a revolutionary invention for the cooking world.

On the other hand, Weber grills are made in a lot of varieties. There are a lot of different types of models to choose from. They also provide high BTUs on their burners and are typically made with high-grade materials.
Monument grill vs Weber is a close competition. When it comes to choosing between these two, we would say that you better go for the latter.
This is because the brand has a lot of variety to offer. If you have a budget restriction, or if you are looking for a specific feature, we are sure that you will find it with Weber. Although Monument is a very good brand, its options to choose from are very limited. They only make gas-powered grills.
I bought my Monument Grill in Feb 2022. It was used for one month then stored in our garage until this Feb. We put the expensive Monument cover on it all the time when outside and not in use. ALL of the stainless steel surfaces are now coated in rust, I presume as they use low grade cheap Chinese stainless steel vs the better grade you referred to.
When I sent pictures to Monument they did nothing and told me to buy a cleaner! After such limited and careful use it is disgusting and inexcusable for it to rust everywhere like this and clearly they do not stand behind their product as Customer Service did nothing.
Pictures of an entirely rusted barbecue available on request!
Thanks Paul, for sharing your experience.
An excellent comparison between Monument and Weber grills. It helps me a lot to make the best choice.
I agree with what Paul said above. The Monument Grill was a gift for Father’s Day 2021. I started speaking to Monument Customer Service on August 21, 2021 as in that few weeks that I built and began using the grill I already has surface rust staining through the stainless steel coating.
I kept the grill under a patio with a high quality well ventilated cover on it when not in use. I was shocked at the deterioration of the unit. But I was more shocked at the lack of customer focus and care.
Apparently Monument out source customer service to AWS. So all the pictures I sent went into a black hole. Finally when I got through to someone at Monument I was told that they fired AWS.
Terrible customer service, poor over all quality of the unit. I am a professional chef, and love the heating elements of the grill and the sear station, works very well. I owned Weber Gills in the past and thought I would give Monument a try based on reviews. The plastic rings around the gas knob levers cracked within the first few uses, I assume because the grill get so hot. The decolorization of the lid and the side stations/stove are unacceptable.
I would stay away. As for Consumer Reports, they say that Monument makes a great grill that will weather the rest of time, I don’t think so.
I am having issues with the burners, that have a 6 year warranty. I don’t have much faith that Monument will help me here. We will see.
Should have stayed with Weber.
Thanks John for sharing your experience.
